Repeat Prescriptions

  • Please allow 3 working days notice for repeat prescriptions to be printed and signed. For example, if you drop a routine repeat prescription request in before 4pm on Monday, it should be ready by Thursday afternoon.

  • Please do not attend the surgery to pick up the prescription sooner than 3 days. The reception staff cannot leave the front desk to interrupt a doctors session. Most of our prescriptions are signed during lunch time, therefore please make sure you have left at least 'three lunch times' before coming to collect it.

  • The 3 days target is only for routine prescriptions from your routine list. If you are requesting a medication not on your repeat list it may take longer (see below).

  • You can arrange with your local pharmacist to drop the prescription request off with them and they will pick up the new one from us. Please allow atleast 4 days for this.

  • Our reception staff are not permitted to accept telephone requests for prescriptions because of the risk of error.

  • If you require the prescriptions to be returned to you by post please enclose a stamped addressed envelope.
  • If somebody else is collecting your script on your behalf then please supply them with a written note of authority.
